Located in Alcester, SD, the South Dakota WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program is dedicated to improving the health and nutritional well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. Through our comprehensive services, we offer vital nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and robust breastfeeding support. We also connect families to necessary health care services. In response to COVID-19, most of our services can be efficiently accessed by phone, while in-person appointments are available when required. Our mission is to empower families to embrace healthy habits for a brighter future.
