The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Arlington, SD, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system through hands-on education and community engagement. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows to become advocates and educators, providing organic food system training and real-world experience at our farm campus. Participants engage in diverse initiatives, such as growing nutritious crops, leading innovative health education sessions, and maintaining community gardens that enhance food literacy. The Fellowship is tuition-free to promote accessibility, enabling Fellows to develop vital skills in support of food assistance programs and community food coalition activities. Following six immersive months of study, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement their learning and expand access to healthy food for all. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program operating from May through October.
