Located in Box Elder, SD, the South Dakota WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program is dedicated to ensuring that low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old, have access to essential nutrition and support. WIC offers vital services such as nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding promotion and support, and health care referrals. In response to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, most services are available by phone, while in-person appointments can be arranged as needed. Our mission is to empower families to cultivate healthy food habits and improve their overall well-being.
