Located in Castlewood, South Dakota, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition and supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission centers around providing essential nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and breastfeeding promotion and support to empower families in their health journey. We also facilitate referrals for healthcare services, ensuring comprehensive care for our participants. During the COVID-19 pandemic, most of our services can be accessed by phone, with in-person appointments available upon request for any specific needs. We are committed to meeting the urgent needs of our community with compassion and care.
