The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), also recognized as 'The Senior Box Program,' serves the De Smet, SD community by providing essential food assistance to adults aged 60 and older who have limited financial resources. Each month, participants receive nutritious food boxes filled with wholesome items such as cheese, juice, milk, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta or rice, and a canned meat or entrée. This program is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity among seniors by ensuring they have access to a reliable source of emergency food, promoting health and well-being in our elder community.
