The South Dakota WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program in De Smet is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition and well-being for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children from birth to five years old. We offer essential services including nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding support, and referrals for healthcare services, all aimed at ensuring families have access to the resources they need. As we adapt to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, most of our services can be conveniently handled by phone, with in-person appointments available upon request to provide the support necessary for growing families.
