South Dakota WIC (Women, Infants and Children) in Deadwood is dedicated to fostering the health and well-being of low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Through our comprehensive program, we offer essential services including nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, and dedicated breastfeeding support. Additionally, we connect families with vital health care resources to ensure they receive the holistic support they need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to prioritize safety and accessibility, providing most services by phone while accommodating in-person consultations by appointment when necessary. Our mission is to empower families in our community to establish healthy food habits and thrive together.
