The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship located in Dell Rapids, SD, empowers passionate individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. We provide a comprehensive, hands-on educational experience focused on organic food systems, allowing Fellows to grow and distribute diversified crops, engage in community gardening, and integrate food literacy into educational settings. Through our program, participants support farmers markets, develop distribution channels for healthy foods, and work collaboratively with regional nonprofits during their Community Action Year. With no tuition fees, we ensure our Fellowship is accessible to all, fostering a new generation of leaders dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in food assistance and ecological stewardship. Applications are accepted until March each year, leading to an immersive experience from May to October.
