At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Edgemont, SD, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive program, we empower Fellows with hands-on training and education in organic food systems, allowing them to become influential teachers and advocates. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that the opportunity to learn and grow is open to all. Throughout their six-month residency at our Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage with projects that include growing and distributing diverse crops, integrating food and ecological literacy into school programs, and supporting local farmers markets. Following the residency, our Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement what they have learned. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year, with experiences typically running from May to October, and join us in our mission to increase access to healthy foods and support sustainable communities.
