MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Elk Point, SD, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans by offering a comprehensive approach to weight management and health promotion. Our mission is to screen all Veterans receiving care at VA facilities for obesity every year and connect them with tailored weight management services that meet their individual needs and preferences. We provide a variety of care options, including engaging group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and the innovative TeleMOVE! program for in-home support. Veterans can also utilize the MOVE! Coach mobile app for self-directed weight management or access additional treatment options such as weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for those who continue to face challenges after participating in MOVE!.
