About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Elkton, SD, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that promotes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through an immersive six-month experiential program, selected fellows receive comprehensive organic food system education at Allegheny Farm. Additionally, fellows support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs while mentoring the next generation of leaders. The fellowship culminates in a Community Action Year, where participants apply their knowledge through partnerships with local non-profits to enhance food access and community well-being. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
