The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at Ellsworth Afb, SD, is dedicated to cultivating a network of passionate advocates and educators committed to a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training and education in organic agriculture, food distribution, and ecological literacy. By providing a tuition-free experience, we ensure that access to essential knowledge is available to all. Throughout their six-month residency at our farm, Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing crops, implementing community health education sessions, supporting farmers' markets, and maintaining school gardens. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year where they collaborate with local non-profits to apply their skills and foster greater access to healthy food within their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences running from May to October.
