Located in Hartford, SD, South Dakota WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is dedicated to enhancing the nutrition and health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to foster healthy food habits through comprehensive nutrition education, providing supplemental nutritious foods, promoting breastfeeding with the necessary support, and facilitating referrals to essential healthcare services. In response to COVID-19, we offer convenience by allowing most services to be conducted via phone, while also ensuring in-person appointments are available when specifically needed or requested, all to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our community's families.
