South Dakota WIC, located in Hermosa, SD, is dedicated to supporting the health and nutritional needs of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program offers essential services including nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and breastfeeding promotion and support, all aimed at fostering healthy habits. We also connect families to health care resources to ensure comprehensive wellness. During COVID-19, we prioritize safety by allowing most services to be conducted via phone, while also offering in-person appointments when necessary. Our mission is to empower families with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.
