About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Huron, SD, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Through comprehensive organic food system education, our program fosters passionate individuals who become teachers and advocates for a food system that is fair for all socially, environmentally, and economically. Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our residential campus and collaborate with local nonprofits, gaining experience in growing and distributing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition, providing opportunities for all to join us in promoting equitable access to healthy foods. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
