The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) in Lake Andes, SD, also referred to as 'The Senior Box Program,' is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to seniors aged 60 and older who face economic challenges. This USDA-backed initiative ensures that eligible individuals receive monthly food boxes filled with nutritious staples, including cheese, juice, milk, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta or rice, and a canned meat or entrée. Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity among seniors in our community, enhancing their health and well-being through access to essential food resources.
