The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lennox, SD, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing free tuition for its educational program, the Fellowship ensures that access to organic food system training is open to all. In this immersive experience, selected Fellows engage in hands-on activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, leading educational initiatives in health care, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. The Fellowship also emphasizes community involvement by supporting local farmers markets and developing distribution channels for healthier food access. Over a six-month residential program at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year of actionable community projects, Fellows will collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to make a tangible impact.
