The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), affectionately known as The Senior Box Program, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income adults aged 60 and over in Lower Brule, SD. Each month, eligible seniors receive nourishing food boxes filled with staples like cheese, juice, milk, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta or rice, and a canned meat or entrée. Our mission is to ensure that our seniors have access to healthy, nutritious food, fostering both well-being and dignity within our community. We invite seniors in need to apply and benefit from our vital support in maintaining their nutrition and health.
