Located in Lower Brule, South Dakota, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program serves to foster healthy lifestyles for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. WIC is dedicated to providing essential nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to vital health care services. In response to COVID-19, most services are accessible by phone, while in-person appointments are available when necessary to ensure that families receive the support they need to thrive.
