The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Martin, SD, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders committed to creating a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Through a comprehensive program that includes rigorous organic food system education and hands-on experience at Allegheny Farm, our Fellows engage in transformative learning while developing essential skills to advocate for healthier communities. This fellowship is offered tuition-free to ensure accessibility, allowing participants to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement health-focused educational initiatives, maintain gardens in schools and communities, and build connections to enhance food access. Over six months, Fellows will immerse themselves in experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their insights in collaboration with local non-profit organizations.
