The South Dakota Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, located in Oglala, SD, is dedicated to improving the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to five years old. Through our comprehensive services, we offer essential nutrition education, supplemental foods to support healthy growth, and dedicated breastfeeding promotion and support. Additionally, we facilitate referrals to health care resources to ensure holistic care for families. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we prioritize safety by offering most services via phone, with in-person appointments available when necessary. Our mission is to empower families with the resources they need to thrive and cultivate healthy habits for a brighter future.
