At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Parker, SD, we are dedicated to cultivating a vibrant food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We sponsor and empower a diverse group of Fellows who are passionate about becoming educators and advocates for sustainable practices. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education without tuition costs, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout an immersive six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in hands-on learning, growing diversified crops, and implementing innovative health care education. They also support school and community gardens, foster food and ecological literacy within education systems, enhance farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, and mentor future cohorts. Following their residency, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, putting their training into practice with regional non-profit partnerships. Applications are accepted until March, with sessions typically running from May to October each year. Join us in transforming our food systems, one community at a time.
