MOVE! is a dedicated weight management and health promotion program located in Rapid City, SD, specifically designed to enhance the lives of Veterans. Our mission is to screen each Veteran receiving care at VA facilities annually for obesity and to connect them with tailored weight management services that respect their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of care options, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which provides in-home messaging support along with clinician contact. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, we also offer the MOVE! Coach mobile app. Additionally, Veterans struggling with weight-related issues may access specialized treatment options, including weight loss medications and bariatric surgery if needed. To get involved with MOVE!, Veterans are encouraged to reach out to their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider for assistance in starting their weight management journey.
