South Dakota WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) in Salem is dedicated to fostering healthy dietary practices for low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and vital breastfeeding promotion and support. We also connect families with necessary health care services to enhance their well-being. In response to COVID-19, we offer most of our services via phone, ensuring that support remains accessible, while in-person appointments are available when specifically requested. At WIC, we are committed to nurturing the health of our community’s youngest members and their mothers.
