The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Spearfish, SD, is designed to empower individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a supportive, free, and educational experience over a 12-month period. Participants will receive six informative e-booklets tailored to their needs, ensuring they understand diabetes management as they navigate their new journey. Our monthly e-newsletter, available in both English and Spanish, offers seasonal tips and information about local events to further enhance community engagement. Enrollees are also invited to join our monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A sessions, where they can connect directly with ADA professionals to ask burning diabetes questions, understand the connection to heart health, and enjoy exciting giveaways.
