The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Tea, SD, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training and supportive mentorship, the Fellowship empowers participants to engage in meaningful community initiatives, including growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, maintaining school and community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into education programs. This hands-on, experiential program includes a six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to enhance food access, run farmers markets, and support community food coalitions. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March to join us from May to October, as we work together towards a more equitable food system in our communities.
