The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Viborg, SD, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our fellowship program, offered at no cost to participants to ensure accessibility, provides comprehensive education in organic food systems and engages selected fellows in hands-on learning experiences. Over the course of six months, fellows gain invaluable experience at our farm campus, focusing on various initiatives such as growing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and implementing innovative health education sessions. In addition, fellows are encouraged to support local farmers' markets and contribute to community food coalitions, all while mentoring future cohorts. By the end of the fellowship, participants will be well-equipped to create impactful change in their communities through sustainable practices and improved access to healthy foods. Applications are open until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
