Located in Wagner, SD, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to engage in a transformative learning experience focused on building a just food system. This program trains and empowers Fellows to become advocates and educators for socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable food practices. By participating in hands-on education at two educational farms, Fellows learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, run community gardens, and enhance food literacy in educational settings. The Fellowship does not require tuition, ensuring accessibility to all. Selected Fellows spend six months at the farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they implement their training with regional non-profits. This initiative fosters innovative health care, supports local farmers' markets, and cultivates increased access to healthy foods, ultimately striving to uplift communities through sustainable agricultural practices.
