The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in White River, SD, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. By offering a fully funded, hands-on training program, we empower Fellows with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Our Fellowship includes comprehensive organic food system education, where participants engage in diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and enhancing community gardens. Fellows are also involved in supporting farmers' markets, developing strategies for increased access to healthy foods, and mentoring future cohorts. Through six months of immersive experiential learning at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year, participants collaborate with regional non-profits to make a tangible impact in their communities. We warmly invite those passionate about food equity and resilience to apply by March for our seasonal program running from May to October.
