About Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Cookeville, TN, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Through our comprehensive services, we provide nutrition education, supplemental foods, and essential breastfeeding support, along with referrals to vital health care resources. In addition, WIC proudly participates in the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, ensuring that participants have access to fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables across several counties, including Coffee, Hickman, Knox, and Rutherford. During these challenging times, we are adapting our services to continue supporting our community effectively, providing increased food choices and expanded purchasing options through WIC funds. For assistance and more information, please reach out to your local county health department.
