About Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Cordova, TN, is committed to nurturing the health and well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to foster healthy eating habits by offering nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding support, and crucial referrals for health care services. Additionally, through the WIC Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, we connect participants with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, further enhancing their nutrition. During these challenging times, we are adapting our services to ensure access, providing support via phone and expanding the types of food eligible for WIC benefits, making it easier for families to access the nutrition they need. Join us in strengthening families and building a healthier community for future generations.
