About Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Harrison, TN is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding mothers, as well as infants and children from birth to age five. Our comprehensive services include nutrition education, supplemental food provisions, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare services. We are proud to participate in the WIC Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, which connects our participants with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables across several counties, including Coffee, Hickman, Knox, Lincoln, Madison, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Sullivan. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our services have shifted to telephone consultations to ensure the ongoing support and needs of our community are met effectively. WIC is committed to expanding the variety of food choices available, enhancing our participants' access to nutritious options, and ultimately promoting the health and wellbeing of families in our area.
