The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jackson, TN, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system by empowering Fellows with hands-on education and practical experience. Our program is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, allowing passionate individuals to become advocates for social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. Throughout this six-month experiential residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in organic food system education, participate in community-driven projects like managing school gardens, and support local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Following their residency, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their learning and make tangible impacts.
