About Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Madison, TN is dedicated to promoting healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Through this essential program, we provide vital services such as nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare services, ensuring that families receive the comprehensive care they need. Our participation in the WIC Farmer's Market Nutrition Program allows us to offer fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, further enhancing the health and wellness of our participants across Coffee, Hickman, Knox, Lincoln, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Sullivan counties. During the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, we are adapting our services by providing assistance via phone and expanding food item options available to participants. With a commitment to fostering healthier generations, WIC is here to support families on their journey toward optimal nutrition and well-being.
