MOVE! Weight Management Program in Old Hickory, TN, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to screen every Veteran who receives care at VA facilities for obesity, offering personalized referrals to various weight management services tailored to individual needs and preferences. We provide a range of impactful options, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which facilitates in-home messaging and clinician contact as needed. For those who prefer a more independent approach, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we offer access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who may continue to face challenges after utilizing our MOVE! services. Each facility may provide different resources, so we encourage Veterans interested in weight loss to connect with their local MOVE!
