Emergency Food Pantry and Hygiene Closet in Amarillo, TX, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity for families and individuals in need. Our food assistance program offers essential nutrition by providing households with boxes containing 40-60 pounds of nutritious food, available up to six times a year. Each box includes both purchased items from the High Plains Food Bank and surplus food, such as pasta, canned goods, rice, beans, fresh fruits, and vegetables, tailored to meet basic dietary needs. In addition to food support, we operate a hygiene closet that supplies vital personal care products, including items such as toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, and toothbrushes, ensuring residents have access to important hygiene essentials up to six times a year. In response to the heightened demand for services due to the challenges posed by Covid-19, we are committed to continuing our mission but need the community's support to sustain our efforts. Together, we can make a difference for those facing hunger and hygiene challenges in San Jacinto.
