The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Conroe, TX, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Our program offers heartfelt training and hands-on experiences to empower Fellows in promoting social, environmental, and economic justice within local communities. Through a six-month immersive Farm and Food Study at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, participants engage in organic food system education while developing vital skills and building partnerships. Fellows will grow and distribute diverse crops, run educational sessions on innovative health care, maintain community gardens, and teach food and ecological literacy in schools. They also play an essential role in supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through strategic distribution channels. We strive for accessibility by not charging tuition and welcome applications, typically due by March, for our enriching experiences from May to October.
