About Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Corpus Christi, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and young children at risk for nutrition-related issues. Our mission is to empower families through comprehensive nutrition education, individualized counseling, and supportive classes tailored for mothers and children. We provide vital breastfeeding support, including free breast pumps and resources to help mothers navigate the challenges of breastfeeding while balancing work and family life. Each month, WIC participants receive benefits to purchase nutritious foods, including iron-fortified infant formula, cereals, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and more. Additionally, we offer referrals to essential health and social services, ensuring that families have access to the resources they need. Eligible families include low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and guardians of children under five. We welcome you to visit our clinic in person to learn more and apply for assistance, helping to create a healthier future for our community's families.
