Backpacks for Kids, located in Desoto, TX, is dedicated to alleviating weekend hunger for children in need by providing essential food assistance. Our program distributes backpacks filled with kid-friendly, non-perishable items, ensuring that children receive two-thirds of their nutritional requirements to bridge the gap over the weekend. Each backpack includes approximately four pounds of nutritious food, featuring items like milk, juice, fruit, cereal bars, and trail mix. We are committed to supporting families by delivering these requested backpacks every Friday, making sure that no child goes hungry when school is not in session.
