First HAND Ministry at Community Crossroads in Fort Worth, TX, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance and clothing to individuals and families in need within our community. Every month, we welcome hundreds of neighbors through our doors, offering quality emergency food options that include groceries or sack lunches available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Participants can choose one option each month to best suit their needs, while also accessing other local food programs. Our dedicated team serves hot breakfasts every Monday morning and hosts clothing distribution where neighbors can select outfits twice a month, alongside seasonal essentials like coats and blankets. The First HAND initiative stands for Hospitality, Advocacy, Nurture, and Dignity, ensuring everyone in our community is treated with respect and care. To receive assistance, individuals complete a household application once a year, allowing them to access our various programs aimed at alleviating food insecurity and providing basic necessities.
