The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is dedicated to empowering the communities in Grand Prairie, TX, and surrounding areas with essential knowledge about nutrition and food safety, particularly for those with limited income. Our program focuses on practical lessons covering topics such as basic nutrition, budget-friendly shopping, simple food preparation, food safety, and the importance of physical activity. We utilize engaging, hands-on activities and provide easy-to-understand materials in both English and Spanish to ensure everyone can benefit. By fostering group learning, we aim to reach at least 10 participants in each class, helping to build a healthier community together across counties like Nueces, Bexar, Cameron, Dallas, El Paso, Harris, Hidalgo, Tarrant, Travis, Webb, and Willacy.
