The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Irving, TX, is dedicated to empowering individuals and families with essential knowledge about nutrition and food safety, particularly for those with limited income. Our engaging classes cover crucial topics such as basic nutrition, budget-friendly shopping strategies, simple food preparation techniques, and food safety practices, along with the importance of increasing physical activity. We utilize hands-on activities and provide practical, research-based materials in both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for all participants. By fostering a supportive learning environment, we aim to equip community members across Nueces, Bexar, Cameron, Dallas, El Paso, Harris, Hidalgo, Tarrant, Travis, Webb, and Willacy counties with the tools they need to lead healthier lives. Our classes typically accommodate groups of at least 10 individuals, and we welcome everyone to join us in our mission to promote physical health and nutritional education.
