The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Hyde Park, UT, empowers passionate individuals to become leaders in creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative fellowship offers comprehensive education in organic farming and community food systems, facilitating hands-on experiences at our scenic Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA. We eliminate financial barriers by not charging tuition, promoting accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Participants engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing educational health initiatives, and nurturing community gardens. As advocates for food literacy, fellows also support local farmers markets and enhance access to nutritious foods through innovative distribution channels. Each selected fellow undergoes an immersive six-month training program, culminating in a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, nurturing the next generation of food system advocates.
