About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Orem, UT, is dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and on-the-ground experience, this program prepares Fellows to act as educators and leaders in their communities, focusing on social, environmental, and economic equity. Over a six-month immersive residency at Allegheny Farm, participants receive hands-on training in organic food systems, allowing them to grow and distribute diverse crops, manage community gardens, and implement educational initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. Following their fellowship, participants engage in a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in partnership with regional non-profits to enhance local access to healthy foods through farmers markets and food coalitions. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship ensures accessibility and invites individuals passionate about food justice to apply each year before the March deadline.
