Located in Tremonton, UT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to empowering individuals as teachers and advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This transformative program, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, underscores an accessible and comprehensive approach to food education by eliminating tuition costs. Over six months, selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, immersing themselves in organic farming practices and community engagement. Participants collaborate with local partners to grow diverse crops, lead innovative health education initiatives, manage community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy. After their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills with regional non-profits to enhance access to healthy foods and support local food markets.
