Our programs ensure that families receive emergency food support sufficient to meet their needs for three to five days, with nutritious options distributed twice a month through the USDA Food Program. This program offers supplemental food boxes containing a small selection of canned or dried goods intended to enhance existing food supplies. Eligibility for food assistance is based on household income and an application is required during your first visit, with annual re-application necessary. Additionally, our Emergency Food Program requires a referral from a county social worker for Fairfax County residents; each referral allows a single visit for additional assistance, with a cap of eight referrals per calendar year.
