Emergency Meal Units, part of the Good News Community Kitchen in Manassas, VA, is dedicated to providing immediate food assistance to families facing food insecurity. Our program delivers essential dry goods, ensuring that those in urgent need can access nutritious basics needed for sustenance. Each emergency meal unit includes a 1-pound bag of rice, two cans of beans, and 1-pound of whole grain oats, offering a total of seven servings. We invite families experiencing food scarcity to fill out our online form to request an emergency meal unit, with meal kits provided on a bi-weekly basis upon registration. A valid state-issued identification is required for verification. Together, we aim to alleviate hunger and support our community’s most vulnerable members.
