At the Community Assistance Network (CAN) in Poquoson, VA, we are dedicated to providing essential assistance and vital referrals to individuals and families facing basic needs challenges across Williamsburg, James City County, New Kent, Gloucester County, Mathews County, York County, Hampton, and Newport News. Our mission revolves around collaborating with a diverse network of community partners to ensure our neighbors remain housed, healthy, and thriving. CAN offers critical programs designed to break the cycle of poverty, including emergency utility assistance, rent support, eviction prevention, and advocacy, as well as information and referrals for food, clothing, diapers, toiletries, and eyeglasses.
