The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Barton, VT, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our unique program offers hands-on, experiential education in organic farming and food systems without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Throughout a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education sessions, and engage with community and school gardens. Moreover, our fellows support local farmers markets, enhance food distribution channels, and contribute to community food coalitions. This valuable journey culminates in a Community Action Year where fellows apply their skills with regional non-profits, making meaningful impacts on food access and ecological literacy.
