The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Barton, VT, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. We offer comprehensive nutrition education, supplemental food packages, and vital breastfeeding promotion and support. Our mission is to ensure families have access to the necessary resources for a healthier future, and we provide essential referrals for health care services. Understanding the challenges posed by COVID-19, we have adapted our services to be accessible by phone, and temporarily expanded our food list to include hard-to-find items to assist our participants. We are committed to collaborating with local stores to ensure that essential WIC infant formula remains available for those in need.
